FDOOT Multisensor Fire Detectors Series

The FDOOT series offers advanced multisensor fire detectors featuring ASAtechnology™ (Advanced Signal Analysis). These detectors are ideal for gradual modernization of various fire detection systems, such as Collective/GMT/SynoLINE300, AlgoRex AnalogPLUS, Interactive, SIGMALOOP, or MS8, on Sinteso FDnet. FDOOT241-A9

Key Features

  • Advanced Signal Processing: Utilizes ASAtechnology for event-controlled detection, providing early and reliable fire detection with strong immunity to deceptive phenomena.
  • Flexible Modernization: Supports systems like AlgoRex and SIGMALOOP on Sinteso FDnet, allowing gradual upgrades.
  • Redundant Sensor Design: Maximum system availability is ensured with sensor redundancy, making the system more reliable.
  • Wind Resistance: Performs efficiently in wind speeds ranging from 1 to 20 m/s.
  • Eco-Friendly Materials: The detectors are built with ecological materials, contributing to environmental sustainability.

The detector includes a point detector with additional heat sensors and a dust cap for protection during construction.

Functionality

The FDOOT series operates on the scattered light principle, using two sensors for optical forward and backward scattering. The opto-electronic measuring chamber blocks disruptive external light while detecting light and dark smoke particles. Additional heat sensors enhance immunity to false alarms. It can be configured as a smoke detector, heat detector, or multi-sensor detector via software. Selectable detection behavior allows adaptation to specific applications through ASA parameter sets.

Multi-Protocol Compatibility

  • FDOOT241-A3: Compatible with AlgoRex AnalogPLUS and FDnet.
  • FDOOT241-A4: Compatible with SIGMALOOP and FDnet.
  • FDOOT241-A5: Compatible with AlgoRex Interactive and FDnet.
  • FDOOT241-A9: Compatible with Collective/GMT/SynoLINE300 on FDnet.
  • FDOOT241-8: Compatible with MS8/PMT on FDnet.

Applications

These detectors provide early detection of both flaming and smoldering fires in environments with deceptive phenomena. They support gradual modernization for older systems like AlgoRex AnalogPLUS, SIGMALOOP, and others, offering a reliable upgrade path.

Phoenix V2: Addressable Fire Detection and Alarm Control Panel

The Phoenix V2 is an advanced fire detection and alarm control panel with two detection loops, supporting up to 126 devices per loop using the Apollo protocol. It works seamlessly with various devices, including automatic detectors, manual call points, loop-powered sounders, and I/O modules. This flexible system allows users to assign devices to any zone, making it adaptable for different requirements.

To ensure smooth installation, careful planning is crucial. Each device needs a unique address and a label of up to 40 characters to identify its location. Group devices into zones according to fire detection standards. Manage the panel configuration easily using Phoenix Soft V2.

Device Compatibility and System Design

The Phoenix V2 supports a wide range of devices, such as optical smoke detectors, heat detectors, multi-sensor detectors, switch monitors, sounders, relay modules, and bell controllers. It also integrates with conventional detection systems. Each loop provides an addressing range from 1 to 126, offering flexible options for various building layouts.

Important Considerations for Fire Detection Cables

To prevent interference or malfunction, fire alarm circuits must be kept separate from other circuits. Key considerations include:

  • Minimizing electromagnetic interference from nearby circuits.
  • Preventing insulation breakdown of either fire alarm or other circuits.
  • Reducing fire risks caused by faults in other circuits.

Proper care is also needed when installing or removing other circuits in shared ducts or trunking to avoid damaging fire alarm circuits.

Following these guidelines ensures that the Phoenix V2 system is installed and maintained effectively, providing reliable fire detection and alarm performance.
